Dr. Geoff Rudy is the Head Chiropractic/Acupuncture Physician at Jaguar’s Downtown Miami and Coconut Grove Clinics. Dr. Rudy combines a unique blend of his extensive background in Rehabilitation and Active Release Technique in conjunction with Diversified methods of Chiropractic care and Acupuncture/Dry Needling treatments. Dr. Rudy utilizes Selective Functional Movement Assessments (SFMA) and Functional Movement Screens (FMS) during initial evaluations with each patient. These protocols provide accurate movement based diagnostics, which are designed to provide efficient methods to systematically find the cause of symptoms. Dr. Rudy also utilizes Functional Movement Screens to identify limitations or asymmetries in seven fundamental movement patterns. These movement patterns are designed to analyze performance specific exercises and movements where weakness and imbalances become noticeable and observable.
Dr. Geoff Rudy graduated from Southern California University of Health Science in Whittier California, where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine. He also completed his Post Doctoral Diplomat Degree in Rehabilitation at SCUHS where he is now a candidate for board licensure as a Diplomat of the American Chiropractic Board of Rehabilitation. Once relocating to Miami, he attended University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine to receive his Post Doctoral Education as a Medical Acupuncture Physician. Dr. Rudy is a board certified and licensed Certified Chiropractic Acupuncture Physician. Dr. Rudy is also a Certified Medical Examiner Nationally.
Prior to graduate school, Geoff received his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from San Jose State University in San Jose, California, where he competed Division I Gymnastics on a full scholarship. Geoff later developed his own company in the Silicon Valley in Northern California, where he worked as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Certified Performance Enhancement Specialist and Sports Massage Therapist.
After attending Graduate School at Southern California University of Health Sciences, Geoff’s passion for Sports Medicine drove him to pursue multiple certifications as an Active Release Technique Practitioner (ART) certifying him in ART for spine, upper extremity, lower extremity and long nerve entrapment. He is also certified as a Graston Practitioner, Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehabilitation Practitioner (FAKTR), Rock Tape Doctor, USA Olympic Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach (USAW), and Certified Chiropractic Acupuncture Physician, and Dry Needling.
Geoff is currently an Active Release Technique (ART) Provider for the USA and Canadian Ironman, and a Sports Chiropractor for the NFL Combine. Geoff has worked as a Sports Medicine Provider for the AIDS Lifecycle, National Pro Grid League (NPGL), Cross Fit Games, Miami Triathlon Teams, and Co-Author of “The Deck Jockey’s Manifesto”, The Practical Guide for the Modern Computer Desk Worker. Dr. Rudy has taught numerous lectures on topics such as Work Station Ergonomics, Injury Prevention for Runners, Mobility for Cross Fit Athletes, Self Myofascial Release Technique for Postural Restoration, and more. Dr. Rudy was voted best Sports Medicine Doctor award in 2016 Southeast Region, in the best of competitor Running Magazine. In his time off Geoff enjoys Bodybuilding, Olympic lifting, Weight Training, Boating and Jet Skiing.
